About
Private investigators may have college degrees; however, there are no official education requirements for a majority of the private detectives and investigators. Although, some states may have requirements and they may vary. Please be aware that a growing number of states have decided to put mandatory courses and training programs. Some investigators may have had previous experience in other occupations.
People from other diverse fields may also apply to become a private investigator.
