Plot: The first movie of the terrifying horror series. It starts out on October 31, 1963 when Michael kills his 17 year old sister, Judith Myers. He is sent away to a mental asylum where he is held for 15 years until he escapes on October 31, 1978. A man named named Samuel Loomis (Doctor of Michael Myers) searches for Michael in order to stop him from putting anyone in Haddonfield, Ilinois in harm's way. But, Michael succeeds in killing 4 young teenagers and remains alive even after being shot 6 times by Doctor Samuel Loomis...

Other info: Halloween was an independent film by John Carpenter and produced by Debra Hill on a $350,000 budget. John Carpenter was sought out by producer Irwin Yablans, and financier Moustapha Akkad. Yablans and Akkad were impressed with Carpenter's work on Assault on Precinct 13 which was the reason for them wanting Carpenter to direct a movie about a psychotic serial killer who stalked babysitters. Hence the movie, Halloween.
